Ma’alah Late Pick-Up Policy

Purpose:

To support the safety, supervision, and well-being of all participants, our program requires timely pick-up at the end of each scheduled day. Consistent pick-up routines allow staff to maintain appropriate supervision ratios, uphold program structure, and ensure a smooth transition for all participants. Late pick-ups place additional demands on staff and may disrupt program operations. This policy establishes clear expectations and procedures to promote punctuality and ensure fairness for all families.

Policy Details:

• Schedules Pick-Up Time:
  Participants must be picked up no later than the program’s designated dismissal time.
• Grace Period:
  A grace period of seven (7) minutes will be provided following the scheduled pick-up time.
• Late Pick-up Fees:
  A late fee of $5.00 will be assessed for every minute (1) beyond the grace period. Fees are calculated based on the actual time of pick-up.
• Payment of Fees:
  All late pick-up fees must be paid in full by the start of the participant’s next scheduled program day or event.
• Repeated Late Pick-Ups:
  Ongoing late pick-ups may result in additional administrative action, including but not limited to a review of the participant’s enrollment status.
• Notification of Delay:
  If a delay is unavoidable, parents/guardians are expected to notify the director directly

Communication: Parents will be notified of late fees at pick-up each day. Payment of the late fees are due at the end of the month. Participants will not be allowed in program until late fees are paid.

Contact Information: If you anticipate being late, please contact the program director. However, this does not negate the fees.
